Pros
1. Team-building skill- A lot of online games are based around a team trying to complete a task. This requires you and your team to work together, and to try and complete the task. One game like this is Overwatch, a game where you choose a hero to fight with your team, and complete an objective. Games like this help people learn how to work with other people, and to help each other out to get the job done.
2. Its a great experience- Online games are very different then just playing alone and completing levels. You get to have fun with actual people, and their are more possibilities with Online games. For example, Gary's mod is a fun game where you can do tons of fun and wacky things. The game does have a single player mode, but the game is best experienced in multiplayer. In multiplayer you can race car, blow things up, or even have a Pokémon battle with other people from round the globe. It creates an unique experience that you can't get from playing single player.
Cons
1. Annoying players- Even though most people online are pretty nice, there are always people who are complete jerks. In games where you have to complete a task, people will try to blame you if your team is losing, or call you names or other things. Some people will constantly scream in the voice chat, and cause you to tea your ears out. Annoying players are not that common, but still you will have to play with one every once and a while.
2.Lag- It sucks when a game is freezing all the time when your just trying to have fun. This happens a lot in online games since there are so many people doing the same thing at the same time, which can be hard on the servers. Now if you have a good computer , then this isn't a really a problem, but if you don't have a good computer, then you are probably gonna have to deal with this a lot.
